Sanna, the baby born in 2007, is only a few days old but already swimming really well, going up and down in the tank and playing with pebbles.

Sanna, le bébé de 2007, n’a que quelques jours mais elle nage déjà très bien, montant et descendant dans le bassin et jouant avec des cailloux.

All this is very tiring and consumes energy, so when things are quiet, its time to eat. The mother Nikko goes onshore and the baby follows and suckles. During feeding time the mother is wary and has protective gestures when there’s noise or when another seal comes nearby.

Tout cela est très fatiguant et consomme de l’énergie, alors quand tout est calme, c’est le moment de manger. La mère Nikko sort de l’eau et le bébé la suit pour téter. Pendant la tétée la mère est méfiante et fait des gestes protecteurs quand il y a du bruit ou quand les autres phoques passent trop près.
