We leave anchorage before sunrise. The weather is so quiet that it will be the first time Lola will pass along the south and western coasts of the island, the “wild coast”, usually beaten by wind and waves from the ocean.

Nous quittons le mouillage avant le lever du soleil. Le temps est si calme que ce sera la première fois que Lola suivra les côtes sud et ouest de l’île, la “côte sauvage”, d’habitude battue par les vents et les vagues de l’océan.

As we go around the island, we see the Goulphar lighthouse and turn northwest. The wind follows us and turns to keep blowing from our stern.

Pendant que nous faisons le tour de l’île, nous apercevons le phare de Goulphar et tournons au nord-ouest. Le vent nous suit et persiste à tourner pour continuer à venir de l’arrière.

We get in view of the Poulains lighthouse, at the northernmost point of the island.

Nous arrivons en vue du phare des Poulains, à la pointe nord de l’île.
