As I was pointing my camera, an unidentified insect struck the web. The European garden spider rushed to it and frantically wrapped it in thread, destroying part of its web in the process. The photo is blurred as the spider was oscillating madly while doing that, which only took about a second. It then returned with its packed prey to the center of the web.

Juste au moment ou je cadrais, un insecte non identifié a frappé la toile. L’épeire diadème s’est jetée vers lui et l’a frénétiquement emballé dans du fil, en détruisant un morceau de sa toile dans l’opération. La photo est floue parce que l’araignée oscillait rapidement en réalisant cette tâche, qui n’a pris qu’une seconde. Elle est ensuite revenue au centre de la toile avec sa proie empaquetée.
