Tower Bridge is one of the landmarks of London, a bascule bridge built at the end of the 19^th century. The water bus was of course low enough to go under it without raising the leaves of the bridge. The trip included a commentary mixing London historic facts and jokes, delivered in a deadpan funny way by a guide.

Le pont Tower Bridge est l’une des icônes de Londres, un pont levant construit à la fin du XIX^e siècle. Le batobus était bien sûr assez bas pour passer dessous sans relever les tabliers du pont. Le voyage comprenait un commentaire mélangeant les informations historiques sur Londres et les blagues, délivré par un guide très pince-sans-rire.

Next to the bridge on the north bank, the Tower of London gives its name to the bridge, houses the crown jewels and used to be a prison. The first part of the complex, the square White Tower, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078. The white lines are made of stone imported from Caen, Normandy.

Près du pont sur la rive nord, la Tour de Londres donne son nom au pont, abrite les joyaux de la couronne et était une prison. La première partie du bâtiment, la Tour Blanche carrée, a été construite par Guillaume le Conquérant en 1078. Les lignes blanches sont constituées par des pierres importées de Caen, en Normandie.
